08h00: Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. We take you to Ninh Binh province which is far from Hanoi city about 100 km. 10h15: The first destination in this trip is visiting Hoa Lu ancient capital. This is the first capital of Vietnam. Come to visit Hoa Lu, you will learn about why the capital was moved to Hanoi nowadays. You are impressed by the outstanding architecture when entering the temples of King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17 century. Try to feel the ancient atmospheres in Hoa Lu ancient capital. 11h45: Lunch on your own. Relax in 20 minutes. 14h:15 Taking a boat excursion from Trang An wharf is a must-do activity in Ninh Binh, as it is the highlight of the journey. Breakfast in the hotel then check out. PICK UP TIME: 8.00 -8.30 AM Leave Hanoi for a 3.5-hour drive to HaLong Bay and a 20-minute stop on the way. Arrive at the jetty in Ha Long City towards noon and proceed with check-in formalities. Be welcomed onboard and have lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay itself. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. We will continue our journey on Halong Bay in the early morning. A Tai Chi Class on the sun deck is a must that you should not miss when on the cruise. Sitting on the upper deck; you can relax, sightseeing while taking photos of the magnificent beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay. Take part in cruise activities such as kayaking/ basket boat/visiting the cave or just relaxing ( activities depending on each boat’s itinerary). At 10.30 AM, our boat cruises back to the jetty, and you will enjoy the last moment in the bay before having a traditional Vietnamese brunch. You leave the boat around 12:00 at noon, we go ashore and transfer back to Hanoi hotel by shuttle bus. 2.5 hours before flight time, our driver will pick you up at the airport for a flight to Da Nang city. You will go visit the ecosystem of the forest by basket boats, catching crabs, and snails and making toys from coconut leaves. Breakfast at hotel 08.00am: Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification palace, which was built on the site of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of both the Indochina wars. .Have lunch on your own. Departing for the Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have a short introduction followed by an introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of wartime. Then, spend your time exploring the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the specially constructed living areas with kitchens, and bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.
